Anna University Tiruchirappalli, Bharathidasan Institute of Technology (BIT) Campus has been established as a Technical Institute under Anna University, Chennai by the Government of Tamil Nadu. It offers a variety of UG, PG and research programs like Electricals and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Petrochemical Technology, Bio-Technology, Pharmaceutical Technology, Computer Applications, Management Studies, Chemistry, English, Mathematics, Physics, and Physical Education and provides for the needs of about 5000 students on the campus. The vision of this institution is to transform students into competent professionals and responsible citizens by focusing on the assimilation, analysis, synthesis, and dissemination of knowledge to meet societal needs. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT


The Department of Electronics and Electronics Engineering (EEE) has been a pioneer in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bharathidasan Institute of Technology since 2007. It offers UG and PG courses, with core research and development in power apparatus and systems for many decades. The research specializations of the department are Power Systems, High Voltage, Power Electronics and Drives, Control and Instrumentation, Embedded System Technology, and Power Engineering and Management.
